Programs
for Students
The Welty Environmental
Center offers programs for preschool through grade 8. Teachers may arrange
field trips to the Center at Beckman Mill County Park, presentations
at the school, or both. Programs are interdisciplinary and focus on
environmental topics. See the Environmental Programs

Program fees
are:
Fees per student or scout for 2 hour programs: $10 each, no cost for
teachers and chaperones
Fees per student for 90 min preschool programs: $6 each, no cost for
teachers and chaperones
Fees for 2 hour public programs: $10 for FWEC members, $15 for nonmembers
Fees for all-day public programs: $20 for FWEC members, $20 for nonmembers
Fees per class for programs that are already set up (like maple sugaring,
etc): $75 per class
Outreach program fees:
All include mileage: 10-30 miles from the center = $15
Beyond 30 miles = $0.50 / mile
No mileage charges for Beloit schools and organizations
Outreach programs for individual classes: $75 plus applicable mileage
Welty Wagon (Winged Wonders or Predator-Prey options) (school provides
volunteers as well)
2 hour program (1 assembly or up to 3 classrooms) = $150 + applicable
mileage
5 hour program (2 assemblies or up to 5 classrooms) = $250 + applicable
